Types of Art on sale

Loves Jazz & Art Center gift shop was born of a need to support local artists as they step into entrepreneurial roles. LJAC understands that displaying one’s work and talent is difficult, and, selling that work is even more trying. The gift shop, located in the opening gallery, showcases the works of not only talented Omaha’s artists including jewelry-makers to painters, but also items to support worthy causes.
Currently, LJAC sells items made by a group of Kenyan women. The sale of these items is vital to the continued support of their way of life. You can be a major part of a great endeavor and contribute income to local artists and their worthy causes.

Fireside Chats: A Surrealist's View of the World by Frank S. O'Neal.

Support Love's Jazz & Arts Center 1st published work, Fireside Chats: A Surrealist's View of the World by Frank S. O'Neal. This is in keeping with LJAC's mission to support African American artists and artforms. It is difficult for writers of color to get published, even more so for poets. We are hoping for some success with this endeavor so that we may be able to offer this service to other up-and-coming writers.

The cost of this book is $14.95. and will be available for download soon.

Book Available in LJAC bookstore.

Catalogues

“Lamentations & Celebrations”--- The Works of Bernard Stanley Hoyes
Love’s Jazz and Art Center is proud to present its first published catalogue featuring the works of renowned artist extraordinaire, Bernard Stanley Hoyes. Born in Jamaica, but now residing in Los Angeles, Mr. Hoyes has spent nearly 30-40 years perfecting his use of imagery and color to produce some of the most vibrant paintings seen today.
LJAC is blessed to have been able to exhibit some of Mr. Hoyes fabulous works in 2007. Hoyes Revival Series depicting the practices of worship on the islands, was well received and can now be a part of your home for daily viewing. The catalogue shows the works displayed from December 1, 2006 through March of 2007 plus many pieces that were not. This full-color catalogue also gives insight and knowledge of Mr. Hoyes' inspiration and experiences that have been expressed in his work.
The total cost of this beautiful catalogue is $17.95. Right now, however, members can receive a $5.00 discount and there is a 20% discount available to non-members
